What you see In the White House building in Begumpet, Paapi Pet is a small eatery that serves yummy Continental munchies. A hot favourite among the corporate crowd and college goers in Hyderabad, the joint is more of a kiosk that you must stop by for a quick, filling grub. Done up in a catchy red and black combination, Paapi Pet is a haven for vegans as the joint serves only cheese and veggie combos.
What you get Paapi Pet has a limited menu comprising pizzas, pastas, burgers and other munchies that can well be a full meal by themselves.
The pasta section lists Tangy Red Penne pasta, Creamy White Fusilli pasta and the classical Arrabiata. Their famous Combi pasta is known to be a combination of all the three. Worth trying, indeed! Pastas (Rs. 100 onwards) here are served in small as well as large portions. Garlic Bread can be ordered as a side dish to go with the pasta. While their Cheese Chilli Garlic bread comes topped with finely chopped green chilli, the Veg Delite Garlic Bread has yellow and red bell pepper topping.
You can also sample their veggie burgers (Rs. 40 onwards) that come both with and without cheese. The cutlet in the burger is crisp and the veggies fresh and crunchy. To go with the burger is a variety of fries. Potato Wedges, Corn Nuggets, French Fries and Onion Rings are all tempting and served hot and fresh with tomato ketchup.
Paapi Pet also serves pizzas (Rs. 70 onwards) in varieties such as Margherita, Indian Veggie and Exotica Supreme. The latter comes with a yummy topping mix of jalapeno, corn and red and yellow capsicum. Jain pizza is also available. Baked to perfection, a pizza is enough to fill a person.
For calorie watchers, the joint has Oriental salad (in yoghurt vinegar dressing) and Caesar Salad (in mayonnaise dressing) with freshly chopped exotic veggies.
The joint serves almost all aerated soft drinks.
Our verdict Paapi Pet is ideal for a quick lunch or an evening snack.
Your order is always prepared fresh in your presence. The lack of seating space, however, is a serious setback and you mostly eat standing. The joint is easy on the pocket and also home delivers for free. Parking space is available in White House. They also take catering orders.
